The 2021 census has released the statistics of population diversity in Markham, with a new category of “hongkonger” in ethnic origin. Population of hongkonger in Markham is 12,515, which is close to the decreased number of “Chinese” when compared to 2016.
Hongkonger is now a category under Ethnic or cultural origin.
