香港人社區中心及青年倡議計劃啟動禮

地點：Room 102, 105 Gibson Centre, 105 Gibson Dr., Markham, ON, L3R 3K7加拿大香港監察正式推出「香港人社區中心」及「青年倡議計劃」，期望透過不同類型的活動，聯繫本地社區香港人，建設一個有香港人精神的社區。加拿大香港監察及香港台將為此合辦啟動禮，並邀請得加拿大參議員Leo Housakos出席。此外，啟動禮亦將有懷舊金曲表演及由得獎奶茶師父即場表演港式奶茶精製方法。參加者亦可參與抽獎，有機會得到香港監察贊助人、前港督彭定康勳爵親筆簽名的新書《The Hong Kong Diaries》。
香港人社區中心日後將每月舉辦不同活動，以保存在加香港人的身份認同，在加拿大的多元文化社會中，繼續宣揚香港文化和價值。而青年倡議計劃亦已在進行中，計劃以工作坊形式讓新移居的香港青年融入加拿大的政治及社會環境，並協助申請國會及NGO的實習機會，繼續在海外為香港發聲。

Support organization: Hong Kong Professional NetworkHongKonger Community Centre(HKCC) will serve as a place for Hongkongers to gather and foster a sense of community, especially as more immigrants from Hong Kong arrive in Canada. We hope to see HKCC become a place where Hongkongers can build a network, preserve HongKonger identity, and promote Hong Kong culture and values in a multicultural society.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Hong Kong Watch's patron Senator Leo Housakos.
Participants can enjoy singing performances, milk tea demonstrations, and get a chance to win the lucky draw of the new book "The Hong Kong Diaries" signed by Hong Kong Watch's patron and the last governor of Hong Kong, Lord Patten of Barnes.
